{"id":2528,"date":"2016-07-15T08:34:12","date_gmt":"2016-07-15T08:34:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.protur-hotels.com\/en\/?p=2528"},"modified":"2016-07-15T15:02:53","modified_gmt":"2016-07-15T15:02:53","slug":"environmental-champion-tui-umwelt-champion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.protur-hotels.com\/en\/environmental-champion-tui-umwelt-champion\/","title":{"rendered":"Environmental Champion (TUI Umwelt Champion)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>TUI has awarded its <strong>Environmental Champion <\/strong><strong>(TUI Umwelt Champion)<\/strong> distinction to 78 Spanish hotels this year and<a href=\"http:\/\/protur-hotels.com\/en\/\"> Protur Hotels <\/a>are pleased to annouce that among them is the Protur Biomar Gran Hotel &amp; Spa ***** in Sa Coma, Mallorca.<\/p>\n<p>Every year since 1996 TUI has been singling out hotels that work particularly hard to protect the environment and exercise their social responsibility in many areas e.g. water &amp; energy saving.<\/p>\n<p>In order to receive this award, the hotels are subject to an exhaustive assessment by official auditors regarding their <a href=\"http:\/\/protur-hotels.com\/en\/nature-and-environment\/protur-hotels-enviromental-charter\">environmental management.<\/a> The assessment also takes into account what guests say in their questionnaires about the hotel\u2019s environmental performance.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.proturbiomargranhotel.com\/en\">Protur Biomar Gran Hotel &amp; Spa<\/a> has already received other awards for its commitment to the environment and sustainability such as the \u201cTravelife Gold Award\u201d &amp; the \u201cGreen Medal\u201d.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"es-ES\">Protur Hotels is constantly making reforms and renovations to improve its energy efficiency and so help to minimize, through research, development and innovation, the impact on the environment.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"es-ES\">Below are other hotels of the chain that have also received quality certifications in recognition of their commitment to the environment and sustainability.
