Protur Hotels is proclaimed the proud winner of the 2 ndEdition of the Spanish Awards for Energy Efficiency.
The work philosophy that reigns at Protur Hotels has once again been given just recognition , in this case pertaining to its role with regard to aspects of the environment, especially for its efforts to improve energy efficiency & sustainability. The award, made at national level, has been granted on behalf of A3e (The Spanish Association of Energy Efficient Companies) and the editorial group “ El Instalador”.
In its second edition, the “ A3e Energy Efficiency Awards – El Instalador “ have become a reference in the sector. The awards enjoy the support of the National Institute for Diversification & Energy Efficiency (IDAE) and are sponsored by Gas Natural Fenosa. The awards ceremony was held on the afternoon of May 7th in the GENERA Fair (IFEMA-Madrid). It was attended by the Director of Energy Saving and Efficiency of IDEA, Pedro A. Prieto, the General Director of Industry, Energy & Mines of the Community of Madrid, Carlos López Jimeno and the Deputy Director of Energy Planning & Monitoring of the Ministry of Industry, Energy & Tourism.
The award received is included in category A and is in recognition of the best performance in energy efficiency and acknowleges the action taken (in performance) that has resulted in greater energy savings. The award was specifically for the project at the”Protur Biomar Gran Hotel & Spa” which is a true reflection of the “modus operandi” that has been established within the whole hotel chain and makes it clear that the intention of the hotel chain continues to evolve and that its path to excellence is endelibly linked to sustainability.
