TUI has awarded its Environmental Champion (TUI Umwelt Champion) distinction to 78 Spanish hotels this year and Protur Hotels are pleased to annouce that among them is the Protur Biomar Gran Hotel & Spa ***** in Sa Coma, Mallorca.
Every year since 1996 TUI has been singling out hotels that work particularly hard to protect the environment and exercise their social responsibility in many areas e.g. water & energy saving.
In order to receive this award, the hotels are subject to an exhaustive assessment by official auditors regarding their environmental management. The assessment also takes into account what guests say in their questionnaires about the hotel’s environmental performance.
The Protur Biomar Gran Hotel & Spa has already received other awards for its commitment to the environment and sustainability such as the “Travelife Gold Award” & the “Green Medal”.
Protur Hotels is constantly making reforms and renovations to improve its energy efficiency and so help to minimize, through research, development and innovation, the impact on the environment.
