2nd Edition of the National Cooking Competition ‘Protur Chef’

Following on from the success of the first edition, we are pleased to announce and set a date for the celebration of the next edition of the PROTUR CHEF Cooking Competition. Entries for next year’s competition are now open and we invite all cookery schools to register their candidates

We will be repeating the experience from 15/03/18 till 18/03/18 in Sa Coma – Mallorca and the setting will be the Protur Biomar Gran Hotel & Spa 5*, a culinary reference on the east coast of Majorca and it will once again be presented by 2 greats in the culinary world, the chefs Chefs Tomeu Caldentey & Koldo Royo.

The competition is aimed at cooking schools throughout the country, which select their best students to represent them throughout a weekend where young aspiring chefs compete for important cash prizes & work contracts.

This is an ideal opportunity to discover young chefs in the making, where each one of them gets the chance to show just how talented they are in the kitchen.

3 days in which, at the same time, we will be organising an exceptional programme of all kind of activities related to the culinary & gastronomy worlds such as a variety of gastronomy workshops, a concentration of food trucks, interesting conferences, dinners offering combining wines from well known bodega s& show cooking by well known chefs such as Fran López, Marc Fosch & the Torres Twins, to name but a few!

We look forward to again enjoying the invaluable assistance of our expert and demanding panel of judges who will be the ones to evaluate the techniques and work of the young cooks on stage. There will be experts from the work of cookery, food critics, sommeliers, etc . all with a keen eye to detail, watching the young contestants every move!
